The U.S. Dept. of Education issued feedback on the ESSA state plans submitted in Sept. by Indiana and Rhode Island. Feedback includes an Interim feedback letter and peer review notes on Titles I and III and McKinney-Vento. Go to https://www2.ed.gov/admins/lead/account/stateplan17/statesubmission.html and click on your state to see all documents.

Technically speaking, the Interim feedback letter spells out specific issues that ED wants fixed before proceeding w/ plan approval. Realistically speaking, ED has approved plans when states have done little if anything about the issues raised.

This leaves only 2 states awaiting feedback as of 12-28-17: Idaho and South Carolina.
