Summary:

Connecting families to information and resources about their children’s development are essential components of both Parent Centers and Act Early Ambassadors. This webinar highlights the mission and the scope of the work of the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC’s) Act Early Ambassadors and the mission and scope of the Parent Centers funded by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) at the U.S. Department of Education. The objectives of the webinar are:

• To foster collaboration between the Act Early Ambassadors and Parent Centers across the U.S. and territories;
• To promote the awareness and tracking of developmental milestones for young children, by sharing Act Early program materials;
• To connect Act Early Ambassadors to the wealth of resources for families available at parentcenterhub.org and through the Parent Centers in their states; and,
• To encourage ongoing, parent-engaged, developmental monitoring and early screening when concerns are identified in young children, so children and families can get the services and support they need as early as possible.
