Throughout the academic career of a child with a disability, he or she will come into contact with dozens of different professionals who are there for support. Examples include: the regular educator, the special educator, aides and paraprofessionals, therapists (e.g., occupational, physical), and others. Parents are cautioned to be aware that their child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) will control who works directly with their child and what they do.
