Designed as a blueprint for training, this module can be used by state leaders and regional center staff to support district-level staff who are new to student learning objectives (SLO) and in the early stages of implementation.

About SLOs | An SLO is a measurable, long-term, academic goal informed by available data that a teacher or team of teachers establish at the beginning of the year for all students or for subgroups of students. The use of SLOs is initiated at the district level.

About this module | In this module, you will learn about the following:

  • State approaches for creating SLO guidance for districts
  • Writing and reviewing SLOs
  • Technical and implementation challenges
